Reading Log Reflection

4/19/2012 5:44:58 PM Pacific Time

I had connections with a multitude of characters in the book I read, The Alchemyst, by Micheal Scott. One of the 2 was that I have felt jealous about something my sister has, or can do, like when Josh's sister, Sophie, gets her magic abilities before Josh does. He seemed pretty upset about it, and belive me, i have felt that way before too.

The other connection is that whenyou think someone is being mean, when really they are helping you, just like when Josh and Sophie want to escape the Yggdrasill because they think Nicholas Flamel is trying to harm them, because the awakening will supposedly kill you, if you are lucky.

Overall, I can make a bunch of connections to the book I read this week.

  6. Hello Scientist Col,
You know that one day you will be one of these brilliant genius people that I'll be lucky enough to say, "that man was in my class in 5th grade!" Anyway, sounds like the author has done a great job writing to allow you so many connections to so many characters. I can really relate to your second connection when I read Harry Potter's last book and realized that Snape wasn't against Harry at all but really trying to help him. That was a good twist. Sorry for the delay in commenting on your first post.
